I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and have practiced in the Poway-Rancho Bernardo area for over 25 years. I am pleased to be a co-founder of the San Diego Center for Well Being. My private practice focuses on individual, relationship and family psychotherapy. I have a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults. I am a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator who enjoys bringing Dr. Brené Brown’s principles of cultivating a wholehearted life through authenticity, vulnerability, and self-compassion into my psychotherapy practice. In addition, I am also a Mindful self-compassion trained teacher.
Throughout my career, I have balanced my private practice work with volunteer experience. Whether in the role of a therapist or in the role of a community volunteer, I believe that the connection in relationships is the key to success.
Besides my psychotherapy private practice, my other experiences include:
– Mentor at Just in Time, an agency that assists aged-out foster youth
– Facilitating Daring Way™ Classes/Workshops
– Teaching Parenting Classes
– Teaching Stress Reduction Classes and Mindful Self-Compassion Classes
– Teaching Pre-Marital Workshops
